In the end, this is all there is to remember. You are love(d). Love and loved. This street dog in India wanted me to know this. This was her message for me and for all of us. I feel like she wanted me to pass this insight on to you as well. I feel like she wanted me to help raise the awareness of just how much love there is out there for us if we would just look around and see things as they really are.
She found me on warm day in November. I was sitting by a tree in the park in the middle Margapatta City, Pune, India. Sitting on the cool grass leaning back against a tree, listening to the wind through the trees. Listening to the birds. She was shy initially but she knew she wanted to say hi. She just sort of circled me and then layed down apparently comfortable and trusting of me. I approached her and she smiled this smile you see here. I rubbed her belly. We established quite a bond the month I was there. She'd find me as I'd walk through the park. I'd would also go looking for her.
I have found dogs provide many lessons. They seem very connected and trusting of me. My friends see and talk about the connection. In the end I think it is simple; dogs see that I see them, they feel my open heart and my love for them. I see that they see me. I see their open hearts and their love towards me. To me they reflect the unconditional love of the universe directly through their eyes. When we see each other It is a mutual understanding of love, trust and friendship.
This lesson of seeing/loving and being seen/loving transcends to all people and to all beings. Somewhere along our path we just want to be seen. We are all reflections. We just want be valued. Ideally this value would be provided to one-self from within but we may be in a spot or a time when this recognition of personal value just isn't there. So why not make a simple effort of bringing things "into existence" through "seeing". It is in itself, an act of creation. Take the time to create today. Take the time to see someone and / or to see something. Oh, and smile while you create a mutual reality.
This is one, of many, lessons learned in the beautiful, spiritual land of India. There have been many beautiful souls who saw the real me. People who saw my gifts and brought them to my awareness. Beautiful reflections. These experiences changed my life, helping me uncover truths about myself that I had not yet discovered.
I am and will always be grateful for my beautiful family in India...for my beautiful lessons. I will always be grateful for those that saw me and for those that didn't, for those that caused me to look for what i needed inside myself.
May you be blessed to truly see and acknowledge the truth that exists before you.
